Violist Augusta Romaškevičiūtė, born in Vilnius, Lithuania, had her first encounter with viola at the age of 18 and, after have been playing violin for many years, she loved the warm and rich timbre of the instrument.
Her first viola teacher was Petras Radzevičius at the Lithuanian Theather and Music Academy in Vilnius. Later she continued her musical path in Germany, where she studied with Hartmut Rohde, Tatjana Masurenko, her postgraduate diploma received in the class of Wolfram Christ.
Her musical vision was as well strongly influenced by work with Kim Kashkashian, Jean Sulem, Thomas Riebl, Danusha Waskiewicz among others, as well as members of Quartetti Artemis, Alban Berg and Vogler.

She is a member of the viola group of Düsseldorfer Symphoniker.

Numerous musical collaborations brought her to important concert halls and festivals around Europe, USA, Brasil. As soloist and chamber musician Augusta performed in Lithuania, Germany,  Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey, USA.
She regularly plays in different chamber music settings, among others viola and piano duo, string quartet, oboe-viola-piano trio. In her concert programs she likes to include modern viola repertoire as well as Lithuanian compositions.
Violist is a prize winner of Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Competition, was awarded scholarships by foundations Oscar and Vera Ritter, Hertie, DOMS as well as Lithuanian Arts Council.
Augusta is involved in several music projects back in her home country that enable access to live classical music performances for everyone.
